We share our passion and enjoyment of flying with those who wish to pursue their dreams of learning to fly. We focus on practical ground work to learn more about paragliding to our trainers. Paragliding skills for training is primary for every trainer which help in growing a good paragliding pilots. Bir Billing is considered best spot for learning paragliding due to its weather conditions. Geography of Bir Billing provides best wind conditions to safe flying in valley, which are very good for learning and safe for new pilots. Best time to learn paragliding is Mid September to Mid December and Mid January to March. The course may extend based upon weather conditions. These courses are the building block of becoming a skilled pilot. You will learn the safety skills, ground handling ( inflation, stabilization, kite, run, launch, fly and landing of the paraglider wing). You'll also learn the techniques and theories to get you in the air. You will learn everything needed to be able to fly independently, including dealing with emergencies, how to descend quickly and advanced theories of flight and meteorology (the study of the weather and climate). Paragliding is the path into gliding and flying the sky. This Course is the most basic course in paragliding. Being the entry level course most of the training is on the ground :- 1. Learning how to open up a glider. 2. Learning the parts, key terms and theory about paragliding. 3. Learn how to wear harness and Glider. 4. Demo by Certified Instructors. 5. P1 - Now the real training begins, this is known as Ground Training. Learn how to lift a glider, balancing it over the head, run with the glider till the end of the field and repeat. 6. Tandem Paragliding Fly (optional) 7. P2 Flying lessons, perfecting Take Off, Landing, mid flight turning, etc. 8. P3 Flying lessons, perfecting advance skill in paragliding, thermalling, ridge soring, kiting, long flying, etc. 9. Bir Paragliding Association Certificate (BPA) Course details:- P1+P2 Course:- Equipment introduction. Site & wind assessment. Canopy layout. Pre-flight checks. Forward inflation. Control familiarization. Ground handling. Canopy Deflation. Take off & landing technique. Steering and Speed Control. Solo flights – assisted take off. radio supervised flying & landing. Post flight procedures. Canopy care and maintenance P3 Course Details:- Canopy handling and kiting skills. Air speed control. Active piloting skills. Roll and pitch control. Alternating S-turns. Weight shift turns. Ridge soaring. Extended duration flights. Target landings. Flight planning. Flight safety. Safety rules and Ridge rules. Aerodynamics. Airmanship. Micro Metrology- the study of the weather and climate P4 Course details:- => proficient soaring, rapid descent techniques, advanced manoevers, understanding the importance of SIV training, understanding of and navigation through different Classes of Airspace, Cross-Country (XC) flying, and the prerequisites required for Instructor and Tandem Certifications. The P1, P2, P3 and P4 Paraglider Pilot Certificate will be issued to only those pilots that meet the basic minimum requirements. The course may extend based upon weather conditions.
